Thank-you to all who have applied for a coaching position at the SPWHL. The coaching selection process for the 2019/2020 hockey season is almost complete. Unfortunately, this process cannot accommodate all applicants. The selection process involved the information gathering of all applicants, parent and league director evaluations and in some cases a personal interview with the applicant. The last phase of the selection process consisted of a final screening, a vote and approval by the SPWHL executive board. As previously mentioned, the process was quite difficult and could not accommodate all of the qualified applicants. The SPWHL is asking everyone to remain involved. Let’s be here for the kids!

All those still interested in applying for DS or House League, please apply online at the Soo Pee Wee Website ASAP.  Those who applied for DS will be made aware after the “A” league drafts.  At the conclusion of every selection process, coaches decline the opportunity to coach after being approved by the executive; whether it is because of a change in a professional situation, family circumstances or their child playing at a higher level than expected. If /When this happens, the SPWHL executive board will approve their replacement as soon as practicable.
