Moving Forward
Submitted By Sarah McLeod on Thursday, March 12, 2020
The Soo Pee Wee Hockey League takes all players health and safety seriously.    As we know germs, of any kind, are transmitted very easily during games where contact and close quarters happen and as hockey is a physical game where contact is impossible to avoid we are asking teams to take extra precautions as the season progresses.

As of today there will be no hand shakes before or after the games.    We are also telling players to bring their own water bottles to the games/practices and to not share with others.

We have been taking phone calls and emails about cancellations, and as of yet we have had no direction from Hockey Canada or the NOHA as to this measure.   We, as always, are in contact with them and will follow their directions on this.

If you would like to read the latest memo sent by Hockey Canada about the Coronavirus it can be found here:

Thank you,

Soo Pee Wee Executive
