SPWHL RETURN TO PLAY GUIDELINES AND RINK RULES
Submitted By Sarah McLeod on Monday, February 15, 2021
We are very excited that hockey will be starting up again this week. Please continue to check the schedule as changes may have to be made.  The ice at the Pee Wee Arena is being put in again and the Rankin ice is no longer available, changes have been made to start session 2. The times you play in the few next weeks may vary until we have our regular ice allotments back.

Below is the general return to play guidelines, waivers and rules for each arena used by the SPWHL.

SPWHL RETURN TO PLAY GUIDELINES

1.       Complete Hockey Canada Self-Assessment Pre-Screening Template prior to coming to rink.

2.       Each player may only be accompanied one parent (guardian).  No extra spectators are permitted as per APH regulations to remain under the maximum number of individuals (50) allowed in a building one time.  Any spectators must ensure that physical distancing measures are adhered by remaining in the assigned/designated seating area.

3.       All parents and players must enter the arena masked.  Players may remove their masks once their helmets go on.   Parents/Guardians must remain masked at all times in the arena.

4.       All players must remain the change room once dressed until Zamboni leaves the ice and players can take the ice.

5.       Maximum 10 players per dressing room (2 side-by-side dressing rooms per ice time)

6.       Players should come to the arena dressed and each team should designate 3 parents/coaches total in each dressing room per ice time to help assist players in the dressing room (skate, helmets etc.…).   We are asking other parents to stay out of the dressing room.

7.       The total number of coaches/players allowed on the ice during a practice is 30 max.   You cannot bring players from another group to join your group.  All staff coming on the ice must complete the 2020-2021 coaching requirements (see above).

8.       Please follow the NOHA guidelines for 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 play.

SPW ARENA

1.       You are to arrive at the arena no earlier than 20 minutes before your scheduled ice time.

2.       All players/parents must enter the arena through the front entrance (Northern Ave) of the building.  All other doors will be locked from the outside.

3.       Parents and players must sign in at the lobby and then players must proceed directly to the designated dressing room (see below)

4.       Parents need to go directly to the designated stands (same side as the assigned dressing rooms).  This year will be using stands on both sides of the arena.  Please stay in these stands and abide by the physical distancing markers in place.  You cannot congregate in the lobby nor watch from the glass.

5.       Groups scheduled on the odd hour:

a.       Dressing rooms 1 and 2 (Pro-shop side) will be for odd hour ice times.
