SPWHL RETURN TO PLAY GUIDELINES

1.       Complete Hockey Canada Self-Assessment Pre-Screening Template prior to coming to rink. 

2.       Each player may only be accompanied one parent (guardian).  No extra spectators are permitted as per APH regulations to remain under the maximum number of individuals (50) allowed in a building one time.  Any spectators must ensure that physical distancing measures are adhered by remaining in the assigned/designated seating area. 

3.       All parents and players must enter the arena masked.  Players may remove their masks once their helmets go on.   Parents/Guardians must remain masked at all times in the arena. 

4.       All players must remain the change room once dressed until Zamboni leaves the ice and players can take the ice.  

5.       Maximum 10 players per dressing room (2 side-by-side dressing rooms per ice time)

6.       Players should come to the arena dressed and each team should designate 3 parents/coaches total in each dressing room per ice time to help assist players in the dressing room (skate, helmets etc.…).   We are asking other parents to stay out of the dressing room. 

7.       The total number of coaches/players allowed on the ice during a practice is 30 max.   You cannot bring players from another group to join your group.  All staff coming on the ice must complete the 2020-2021 coaching requirements (see above). 

8.       Please follow the NOHA guidelines for 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 play (attached to email).

 

SPW ARENA

1.       You are to arrive at the arena no earlier than 20 minutes before your scheduled ice time. 

2.       All players/parents must enter the arena through the front entrance (Northern Ave) of the building.  All other doors will be locked from the outside. 

3.       Parents and players must sign in at the lobby and then players must proceed directly to the designated dressing room (see below)

4.       Parents need to go directly to the designated stands (same side as the assigned dressing rooms).  This year will be using stands on both sides of the arena.  Please stay in these stands and abide by the physical distancing markers in place.  You cannot congregate in the lobby nor watch from the glass. 

5.       Groups scheduled on the odd hour:

a.       Dressing rooms 1 and 2 (Pro-shop side) will be for odd hour ice times. 

b.      Spectators will sit in the stands across from the team benches.

c.       Players and Parents will exit the building through the door beside the Pro Shop.

6.       Groups scheduled on the even hour:

a.       Dressing rooms 3 and 4 (Canteen) will be for even hour ice times.   

b.      Spectators will sit in the stands behind the team benches.

c.       Players and Parents will exit the building through the door beside the team benches. 

RANKIN

The Rankin Arena would like each coach to complete a facility walk through.  Please contact Kris Bain to set up a walk through (705) 759-1444. You are only required to do the walk through if your group is scheduled at the Rankin Arena. Kris will be available for the walk through starting Monday the 28th. 

You are to arrive at the arena no earlier than 20 minutes before your scheduled ice time. 

1.       Parents and players must sign in at the lobby and then players must proceed directly to the designated dressing room. 

2.       Doors will be locked from the outside and staff will be available to direct players/parents to appropriate areas. 

3.       Groups scheduled on the odd hour:

a.       Will use home door to the building facing Frontenac (refer to signage on the exterior)

b.      Will use dressing rooms 1 and 2.

4.       Groups scheduled on the even hour are

a.       Will use visitor door to the building facing the Bingo Hall at the back (refer to signage on the exterior)

b.      Will use dressing rooms 3 and 4. 

5.       Parents need to go directly to the designated stands.  Please stay in these stands and abide by the physical distancing markers in place.  You cannot congregate in the lobby nor watch from the glass. 

 

JOHN RHODES

 

1.       You are to arrive at the arena no earlier than 20 minutes before your scheduled ice time. 

2.       Parents and players must sign in at the lobby and then players must proceed directly to the designated dressing room (see below)

3.       Parents need to go directly to the designated areas of the stands.  Please stay in these stands and abide by the physical distancing markers in place.  You cannot congregate in the lobby nor watch from the glass. 

4.       Groups scheduled on the odd hour will be using dressing rooms 1 and 2.

5.       Groups scheduled on the even hours will be using dressing rooms 3 and 4. 

 

Game Rules:

When games resume under Stage 3B these will be the rules.

 

IMPORTANT: If a sick participant (or their parent/guardian if the participant is a minor) elects to inform a team/hockey association/Member that they have been diagnosed with COVID-19, the individual informed shall seek the sick participant/their parent’s/guardian’s consent to contact public health authorities in order to obtain advice on communication with other potentially impacted participants. The sick participant (or their parent/guardian if the participant is a minor) should be asked to advise Public Health of this consent. Explain the communication that will take place and NEVER disclose the sick person’s name

As recommended by the Algoma Public Health we will stay consistent with schools and ask that parents and/or guardians to use the OHF Health Screening Questionnaire. If your child is sick then the Return to Play guidelines below must be met:

·         Negative COVID-19 test and symptom free for 24/hrs. Or,

·         Isolate for 14/days from the onset of symptoms

Hygiene reminder from the NOHA:

·         Washing hands and using hand sanitizer

·         No shaking of hands

·         No sharing of food or drink

·         Individual marked water bottles

·         Maintain physical distancing
